New Mercer Commons Assisted Living, part of Columbine Health Systems, has undergone exciting renovations, refreshing a community that has been home to residents for 30 years. The updates include new flooring, carpeting, appliances, a new employee breakroom, fully renovated library/media room, upgraded patio furniture, and a new theater area with cozy seating.
Makayla Kraemer, Admissions Director at New Mercer Commons, is thrilled about the changes. “These updates allow our residents to feel proud of their home, with plenty of opportunities to explore new hobbies and meet new people,” she says. With nearly 90 residents, the renovations are designed to enhance their quality of life and foster a vibrant community.
One of the most popular updates is the library/media room. “Personally, my favorite part is the updated library/media room,” Kraemer shares. “It’s used for everything from reading to Wii Bowling and art projects. It’s wonderful to see residents enjoying themselves and connecting with each other.”
These improvements not only refresh the building but also ensure that New Mercer Commons continues to meet its residents' evolving needs. Kraemer notes, “Our building has been around for 30 years, and we continue to grow and meet our residents’ needs.”
