GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT
In this class you will learn to move with the least amount of effort - it is learning through movement - so you can do what you want easier and without discomfort.
B.L.A.S.T.
(Butt, Legs, Abs, Sweat, Tears)
This class focuses on strengthening the entire body through core training, scuplting, and intense cardio intervals. This class will push you to fitness limits in balance, coordination and agility.
EXPRESS CIRCUIT
Express Circuit allows members of all levels to complete a full body strength workout in fewer than 30 minutes. Express Circuit is a perfect compliment to a cardio workout. Commit to at least 2 times per week and you will soon realize the benfits of strength training.
GENTLE YOGA
This class incorporates basic yoga poses with breathing techniques. You will gain flexibility and balance while emmersing yourself in a relaxing class that moves at a slower pace - allowing time to enjoy each pose.
HATHA YOGA
A class designed to increase flexibility, balance and strength while alleviating stress and promoting relaxation. This relaxing class will incorporate basic yoga poses and breathing techniques to create a more peaceful state of mind.
PILATES
Explore and learn some of the basic fundamental principles of Pilates. This class focuses on whole body conditioning, core stabilization, and concentrated breathing to increase strength. This class is great for beginning to intermediate levels.
RESTORATIVE YOGA
Gentle postures are held for up to 10 minutes each, while being supported by yoga props such as bolsters and blankets. Guided meditation, basic breath work techniques and aromatherapy are incorporated to enhance the experience. Restorative Yoga helps to quiet the mind, balance the nervous system, deepen the relaxation response, reduce anxiety and stress, encourage deep rest, and enhance immunity.
SENIOR BALANCE & MOBILITY
Increase your mobility and flexibility, enhance your balance and gain strength in this class designed specifically for seniors.
SENIOR SIT & BE FIT
This class will improve your strength using weights and therabands in a relaxed, seated format. Join our trainers for a fun filled workout!
SENIOR YOGA
Slow moving, chair and wall assisted, emphasis on deep breathing and slow, simple, safe, yoga - like movements.
STRENGTH AND TONE
This upbeat class will work to tone all your major muscle groups with an emphasis on back and stomach muscles. You will use an assortment of equipment and techniques to strengthen and tone your entire body.
VINYASA / HATHA YOGA
This class incorporates a breath-synchronized Vinyasa form of yoga for the warm up, followed by the mellow pace of Hatha with basic yoga poses ending with quiet, centering, restorative, relaxation.
YIN YOGA
This class utilizes props of blankets, blocks, and straps to hold more relaxed poses for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes). This technique is used to open up the deeper tissue of the body.
YOGA WITH MEDITATION
This class incorporates Hatha Yoga in ststic and dynamic poses with an introduction to stress reduction meditation.
ZUMBA FITNESS
Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout systemthat will blow you away.
ZUMBA GOLD
This class takes the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms created in the original ZUMBA and bring them to the active older adult, the beginner participant, and other special populations that may need modifications for success. This explosive program is so easy to follow that everyone of any age can do it!
