Therapist

A Therapist is responsible for screening all admits/re-admits per federal regulation; giving treatments to residents referred to therapy; training, supervising, and evaluating aides; coordinating with the Director of Nursing in needs of residents in relation to therapy; participating in in-service training; recommending and checking out equipment needed by the resident to increase his/her functional abilities; maintaining adequate supplies and equipment needed for therapy; maintaining departmental records and progress reports on all residents referred to therapy; attending and participating with other team members in care conferences concerning the residents in the therapy programs; attending Quality Assurance/Utilization Review meetings when requested; and reports information to the physician when necessary so that the treatment program can be modified as necessary.

Must be a Registered Therapist in the State of Colorado, in good physical and mental health, have an interest in geriatric patients, and competence in performing therapy.
