Rehabilitation Director

This position is designed to centralize and coordinator therapy services and communication at the facility level, in order to facilitate a more efficientlyl run therapy program. This is a liaison position that is designed to give everyone in the therapy department a direct avenue to expressing ideas and concerns regarding the direction of the therapy program.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy. Current Colorado practice license, registration or certification. Three years of clinical experience in the geriatric and long-term care setting.

Will have responsibility for hiring, counseling, promoting PT, OT, and SLP personnel which will include performance evaluations, scheduling of staff in order to maximize patient care. Will regularly review paperwork/documentation of therapy staff in order to ensure timeliness and contant of paperwork for Medicare/managed care compliance, etc. Will orient new employees and represent the Therapy Department in facility meetings.
