Physical Therapist Assistant

Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Patient care responsibilities (while under the supervision of a PT) include: adhering to the patient treatment plan established by the PT, communicate with PT regarding patient status/progress and consult with patient and PT if a change in treatment plan is indicated. PTA will instruct patient and/or family members in a home program, maintain all records pertinent to patient care, communicate with physicians, family and other team members regarding changes or modifications in treatment plan. In addition, PTA will participate in team rounds, conferences, meetings related to patient status/care and provide quarterly screens of long-term care residents to determine therapeutic needs in collaboration with PT. Various other duties may be added as needed.
