Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner conducts clinical assessments and provides direct patient care in accordance with collaborative agreements with specified physicians; assists physicians with compliance of required resident visits; coordinates clinical care with all disciplines (director of nursing, social services, therapies); assists staff educator with formulating and presenting in-service programs on clinically oriented topics to improve the overall clinical capabilities of the facility's nursing staff; and educates and mentors the nursing staff as indicated on various clinical topics.

Must possess as a minimum a nursing degree from an accredited college or university and possess a clear unencumbered license from the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner. Prefer a master's prepared and national certification as either a family, adult, or geriatric nurse practitioner. Must have active prescriptive authority with the Colorado Board of Nursing.

Prefer at least one year of experience working with adult and geriatric patients in subacute or long term care setting.
