Medical Records Assistant

The Medical Records Assistant is responsible for quarterly audits and purging Front or Back Station medical records, done in conjunction with resident care conferences; mails all forms needing a doctor's signature to the appropriate office and monitors that the forms are returned in a timely manner; assists Medical Records Supervisor in entering physician's orders into the computer and with monthly printing of forms; initiates and updates the face sheets for the medical record; answers the telephone and assists the front office in the absence of the receptionist.

Experience filing and using computers preferred.
