Custodian
Performs custodial work in apartments, facility common space, and other building interiors.
Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following: Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing and buffing machines. Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds. Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Must be at least 18 years of age with an education minimum of 8th grade and be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be interested in geriatrics, able to work independently or with a team, and attentive to detail. Must be able to tolerate lifting, pushing, and pulling in the 50-pound range frequently.
