Certified Nursing Assistant - Home Care

A Certified Nursing Assistant is a trained, licensed, worker who provides skilled care to the client in the home. The duties of the Certified Nursing Assistant are planned and assigned by the nurse or therapist to meet the client’s situation. The Certified Nursing Assistant is not a substitute for the nurse or therapist but, under nursing or therapist supervision, may carry out certain personal care and skilled services in carefully selected situations. The Certified Nursing Assistant may also provide services to meet the client’s therapy regimes, physical requirements, and functional needs.
