Clinical Coordinator
A Clinical Coordinator has responsibility and accountability for educating, training, orienting and assisting in staffing the nursing assistants for our facility. The person in this position provides orientation on facility policies and procedures; is responsible for the facility’s infection control program, obtaining cultures when appropriate and providing inservice training to all staff regarding universal precautions and other infection control information. Assists the Director of Nursing with weekly Wound Rounds and is repsonsible for the documentation of this data. Coordinates student clinical experiences within the facility; exercises full supervision including developing and maintaining nursing service objectives in the absence of the Director of Nursing. Arranges for continuing education and inservice training. Assures that all health department mandated inservices are conducted annually.
Must be RN or LPN and license must be unemcumbered from the State of Colorado. Minimum one year experience in nursing leadership role with working knowledge of long term care regulations and requirements.
