Assistant Director of Nursing

The Assistant Director of Nursing educates, trains, orients, and staffs the nursing assistants; budgets daily for the nursing assistant hours; obtains cultures when appropriate and provides in-service training to all staff regarding universal precautions and other infection control information; knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to wage and hour, labor relations, and OSHA; responsible for the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing; and maintains nursing service objectives.

Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college or university and posses a clear, unencumbered license from the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse. Must have, as a minimum, one year of experience as a licensed nurse in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility. Prefer one year of experience in nursing leadership or education, as well as prior experience in infection control.
